SECTION 1 : INVITATION TO TENDER
Tenders are hereby invited for the BAKENBERG TRANSITIONAL LOCAL COUNCIL/ MOORDKOPPIE MINI REGIONAL WATER SUPPLY SCHEME : PHASE II INTERNAL WATER SUPPLY, CONTRACT NUMBER : BDC 2000/40/B/ABE consisting of the construction of water reticulation for Ramorulana and Mabusela and including :
1. Construction of approximately 13.0 km of internal reticulation with 50 to 160mm nominal diameter PVC and GMS pipes with street taps and apparent structures.
2. Upgrading of 0.8 km existing 160 mm nom dia water mains
Note: The materials will be supplied to the contractor.
Tender documents will be available on 29th September 2000 at 12:00 Hrs from the offices of :
1. Bosveld District Council
2. TLC Office in Bakenberg
3. On the day of site inspection.

A compulsory site inspection will be held on the Tuesday, 10 OCTOBER 2000 AT 11:00am. Prospective tenderers are requested to meet the engineer AT THE TRIBAL OFFICE SITUATED IN BAKENBERG (See site location map in tender for directions and details). Tenderers to arrange for their own transport. Tenderers arriving after the advertised time for the site inspection will be disqualified from tendering. Tenderer’s representative must be suitably qualified and experienced to comprehend the implications of the work involved.
Tenders in sealed envelopes, marked “BAKENBERG TRANSITIONAL LOCAL COUNCIL/ MOORDKOPPIE MINI REGIONAL WATER SUPPLY SCHEME : PHASE II INTERNAL WATER SUPPLY, CONTRACT NUMBER : BDC 2000/40/B/ABE must be placed in the tender box at the offices of ”BAKENBERG TLC IN BAKENBERG” Friday, 20 October 2000 not later than 12:00am Telegraphic/telexed/faxed tenders will NOT be accepted.
