INVITATION TO TENDER

WATERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

ELECTRIFICATION OF BOREHOLES IN THE AREA OF THE WATERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

CONTRACT NUMBER : WDM/2004/65

Suitable qualified contractors are hereby invited to tender for the supply of all labour, materials and equipment for the “Electrification of Boreholes in area of the Waterberg District Municipality.”

TENDER DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE SITE INSPECTION.

Tender documents will be subject to a non-refundable payment of R50.00.  Payment can be either cash or a bank guaranteed cheque. 

A compulsory site inspection will be held on Wednesday, 3 March 2004 at 10:00 at Mogalakwena Municipal Offices in Civic Centre, Mokopane. A person who is suitably qualified and experienced to comprehend the implication of the work involved must represent tenderers at the site inspection.  If the tenderer or his/her representative does not attend the site meeting, the tender will be disqualified. Tenders must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked clearly “ELECTRIFICATION OF BOREHOLES IN THE AREA OF THE WATERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY”, Contract No : WDM/2004/65.

Tenders to be submitted in the tender box at the Waterberg District Municipality Offices by not later than 10:00 on Friday, 12 March 2004.  All tender documentation to be completed in full and in black ink.  Incomplete tender documentation could result in disqualification of the tender.

Tenders will be adjudicated in accordance with the “Preferred Procurement Policy Framework Act” (Act 5 of 2001).

In terms of Section 2 (1)(e) of said Act, proof of the following must be submitted with the tender :

PDI Status (Previously Disadvantaged Individual)

Women Disabled

Locality of Business

In addition to the above, a Tax Clearance Certificate of SARS (South African Revenue Services) should be included in the tender document.  Telegraphic, telefax or email tenders will not be accepted.  The Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
